Memorial and Tribute Gifts
A donation to The Blue Bird Circle is a unique way to remember or honor friends and family. It’s a truly meaningful way to celebrate the life of someone you've lost. And tribute gifts are perfect to honor special milestones such as birthdays or anniversaries for the person who has everything. The Circle will send appropriate acknowledgements to the donor and to the honoree or family.

Gifts of Stock
Help make a difference for the 14 percent of children who are affected by neurological conditions. Donating publicly traded securities to The Blue Bird Circle not only advances our mission, but it potentially offers a number of financial benefits for you:
• A federal income charitable contribution tax deduction based on the stock’s fair market value on the date of the gift if you owned the stock for more than one year; and
• Avoidance of capital gains tax that is due when you sell appreciated stock.
Distributions from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
Has The Blue Bird Circle enriched your life or the lives of your family members? If you are retired, you may want to consider giving back to The Blue Bird Circle and at the same time, meet your IRA required minimum distribution.

If you are 72 years of age (73 if you reach age 72 after December 31, 2022) or older, you are required to make annual and taxable withdrawals from your IRA. The amount that you are required to withdraw is called your required minimum distribution (RMD). If you are fortunate enough to not need your entire yearly RMD amount for living expenses, you may be interested in donating all (up to $100,000) or part of your required minimum distribution. These donations are tax-free and could reduce your income tax bill, depending on your tax rate. Consult with your financial advisor to learn more and ensure correct transfer.
Legacy Gifts
If The Blue Bird Circle is a meaningful part of your life, you may wish to consider making a legacy gift to ensure that service to children with neurological disorders endures far into the future.
