At The Blue Bird Circle, we know that you want to contribute to a cause you care about while feeling valued and building relationships. We believe that we can do more good together than alone. And that you deserve to be respected by the organization where you volunteer.

At The Blue Bird Circle, we understand the significance of doing important work alongside other committed people who truly make a difference. For 100 years, we have provided a circle of volunteers sharing hope, love, and care for children with neurological disorders. This Circle is made up of like-minded members who are committed to serving together while creating lifelong friendships. Our members are intelligent and responsible, and show up because they are driven to make an impact.

Here’s how you can become a member:

Fill out the interest form

The interest form is the first step for us to get to know you. We will then send you a full application to complete, after which you will be invited to a Get Acquainted Day, scheduled several times a year, to make sure we’re a good fit!

Join our organization

Once you join, you can volunteer at the Clinic, the Shop, or both. Either way, you’ll quickly build friendships that give your work deeper meaning and joy.

Make a difference

Our members volunteer so they can affect change in a greater way. Each member contributes to our efforts to change the lives of children for the better.

Membership Categories

Active 1: 150 hours

Active 1 volunteers commit to at least two or more days a month volunteering in the Shop and/or Clinic with assigned roles. They also participate in special projects or committees, and are expected to attend certain meetings.

Active 2: 75 hours

Active 2 volunteers commit to at least one or more days a month volunteering in the Shop and/or Clinic with assigned roles. They also participate in special projects or committees, and are expected to attend certain meetings.

Active 3: 50 hours

Active 3 volunteers can gain their hours at any time during the year volunteering in the Shop, Clinic and through special projects such as event planning, social media or serving on a committee.

Annual dues for membership are $105. Please contact us to learn about these different levels of membership and to apply. We are currently taking applications.
