On March 19, 2026, The Blue Bird Circle hosted its Annual Spring Dinner at River Oaks Country Club, bringing together supporters for an evening dedicated to advancing groundbreaking pediatric neurology research at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine.
The invitation-only event celebrated a century of service and featured keynote remarks from Doug Flutie. Led by emcee Ernie Manouse, the evening included a high-stakes Diamond Pull, where guests had the opportunity to purchase a numbered bag for the chance to win a loose 1-carat diamond provided by Dubin’s Fine Jewelry.
The evening continued with a curated live auction featuring a lab-grown diamond necklace from Endless Diamonds, a “Mountain & Beach” getaway package with five nights in the mountains and five nights at the beach, and exclusive sports memorabilia including autographed Doug Flutie jerseys.
Decor throughout the evening reflected the event’s mission of turning laboratory breakthroughs into life-changing cures, with Blue Forget-Me-Not flowers paired with scientific test tubes. Top-tier donors also enjoyed an intimate VIP meet-and-greet with Doug Flutie.
“Every dollar raised tonight is a seed of hope for a cure,” said Event Chair, Trish Greaser. “Research isn’t just data; it’s the greatest gift we can give to families navigating neurological disorders.”
